A message from Zahira Bashir - Unite West Midlands Young Members Officer

My name is Zahira Bashir and I look after the young members in the West Midlands. As the young members officer It's my job to help facilitate and work with our young members on a variety of campaigns across the West Midlands. 

We have previously worked on campaigns such as the TGI Fair Tips campaign where we focused on the resturant  TGI Fridays in a campaign which helped  bring the tips back into the workers hands.

We have a young members committee that meet every 3 months to talk about the ongoing issues and problems surrounding young members in our region. We also run a annual young members political school primarily focused towards  those young members who have political aspirations.
